Our Background: Musee.com was launched in Spring 1998. The site was restructured in Spring 2003 to provide a search engine capable of indexing our museum shops' online product inventory on a weekly basis.
About the Publisher: Musee.com is a project of Webb Design Inc in Taos, New Mexico. Webb Design develops, hosts and markets online shops for museums and other retailers. Our content management systems include WebbCart, WebbGallery, WebbEmail, and WebbCalendar.
Webb Design was formed by Janet Webb in 1982 to market local art
galleries and artists by creating ads and print collateral, books and catalogues. The design firm, located in Taos, New Mexico,currently has a staff of eight that provides print design, web development, and marketing programs to museums and foundations in New Mexico and beyond. The company also works in tourism promotion, a specialty relevant to the museum industry.
Webb Design has been an Exhibitor Affiliate of the Museum Store
Association since 1983.
We develop custom products for museum shops including cards, posters,
and calendars.
We design art books, catalogues, gallery guides, and museum promotional materials.
In 1995 Webb Design grew into its name by adding web development to
our list of services. We have created a suite of content management systems for museums and foundations, empowering them to maintain their own web presence 24/7, from anywhere in the universe.
